Christmas Day Came at 4:30 am!!

Yes, our kids were so excited for Christmas that they could hardly wait to get up. We were just as excited, so we let them get us up and open presents. The magic, and anticipation only comes once per year!! We simplified our Christmas and it ended up being one of the best and most spiritual. Taking the focus from the things of Christmas to the feelings of Christmas really brought the true Christmas Spirit to our home. Merry Christmas to all!!

Cookies, Milk, and Gingerbread Tea for Santa

Leaving Cookies for Santa was so exciting this year. The kids left so many of them that it was difficult for Santa to eat them all. Thank you Grandma Wall for our special plate and mug we use every year!!

Marvel Mania!!

It's Spiderman!! It's Hulk!! It's Ironman!! Together they can defend and protect the Mohlman Universe!!

Christmas Eve - One present wonder

On Christmas Eve, we played games, ate a buffet of crackers, cheese, chips, veggie tray, little smokies, and drank soda pop!! We lit our advent candle and told Christmas stories. Then, the highlight of the night was the opening of the one package. They all know what it is, pajamas. It is still fun for them to open!!

Christmas Casserole Blues

This year, on Christmas Eve I told the boys that I was cooking the traditional Christmas Casserole for breakfast in the morning. Spencer and Parker said, "Yuck!! I don't want that again." So I decided on Pancakes, sausage, bacon, and eggs. Cooper really likes my Christmas casserole and he was sad. So he composed and wrote a song about it. Here is the video stream, he just might be the new craze on You-tube. I laughed so hard. Sorry it's so dark!! Enjoy!

Visiting Teaching and Snowmobiling

I had an appointment to go visiting teaching and I wasn't too confident in my 18 inch snow driving abilities, so I took my husband and my family with me. I put on her husbands snow gear and went outside, we sledded and snowmobiled together. It was great fun. That was the funnest visiting teaching appointment I have ever had. You rock, Tricia!! Thanks for the photos.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

10 days of snow. Wow we have had about 15 inches of snow so far!! Some areas getting more!! My kids are in heaven becasue this is a rare occurance in the Pacific Northwest!! They built a Darth Vader Snowman, which was taller than me. That's not saying much, I know!! But it was huge.

Christmas Party at my house!!

We invited four of our friends to our house for a Caroling party. They all have boys. We had a soup cook-off contest, and we won!! Also, my friend Trisha hooked up her trailer to her truck and took us all out caroling. Fun times, good memories!!

Christmas Around the World

We did a school project by researching the way Christmas is celebrated around the World with our homeschooling friends. Cooper researched how they celebrate in Pakistan, they say, "Bara Din" which means Big or Great day. Spencer researched how they celebrate in Holland with Sinterklaas. He sails into the ports of Amsterdam with his friend Black Peter, who chases all the children who have been naughty with his stick. Then Bryce, researched the Netherlands and they have some fun traditions there. Jul God means Merry Christmas. They also have a porridge eating contest where they must find a single almond in their porridge. Porridge is very important to their celebrations, because they put it out for Nissy, the havoc causing dwarf. So we had a porridge-eating-contest at my house. My son won the contest this time, and he will be receiving a Marza Pan Pig from Sis. McQuivey. See the pictures of them finding their almond.

Christmas Tree Nazi Captured

I no longer am the Christmas tree Nazi. I have relinquested all control in decorating my tree to my family. Everything doesn't have to match either, notice the only blue bulb on the tree. Pavlo our Cat loved the Christmas Tree, he would climb all the way to the top of the tree, bite the light bulbs, and hit at all the ornaments off. It has a lot more personality now!! I love it.
